Hemingway scholars have been very supportive of our work. We attended the 2024 Hemingway Society conference in San Sebastián and Bilbao, Spain, meeting old and new friends. Here we are in Bilbao, with our friends, the authors Nicholas Reynolds, left, and Tim Christian, center. Nick is the author of Writer, Sailor, Soldier, Spy: Ernest Hemingway’s Secret Adventures 1935-1961 and is the godfather of our project. Tim is the author of Hemingway’s Widow: The Life and Legacy of Mary Welsh Hemingway.
Valerie Hemingway sat down with us to review our presentation. Valerie attended Hemingway’s 60th birthday party and is the author of Running With the Bulls: My Years With the Hemingways.
In Summer 2022, we met many of the world’s experts at the Hemingway Society conference in Sheridan, Wyoming. We presented initial findings to a room that included published authors and even a Hemingway family member. Here we are presenting and with our pal Ernie.
