About General Lanham

Aside from his friendship with Hemingway, General Lanham is known for authoring the infantry’s tactical manual, Infantry in Battle; leading his troops to break through Germany’s western defenses along the Siegfried Line; and serving as a top aide to General Eisenhower in Paris. He was a published poet and one of his films received an Academy Award.
